Οι παρεμβάσεις σκοπό είχαν να “ανοίξουν” οπτικά τους χώρους, οι οποίοι αερίζονται και φωτίζονται διαμπερώς και να ενοποιήσουν τις λειτουργίες τους.  Το λευκό κυριαρχεί παντού σαν καθαρός καμβάς και συνδυάζεται με μωσαϊκό, μάρμαρο, επιφάνεια σκυροδέματος, μαύρο, και ξύλο στο χρώμα της καρυδιάς.

The second floor apartment in a residential 1980s building, situated in a quiet neighborhood in Kifisia, in the northern suburbs of Athens. The basic concept of the intervention was to make an open space where light can run into the whole interior. White surfaces matches natural materials. Concrete, traditional terrazzo tiles and wood create an interior style that is up to date yet timeless.

We were asked to design a two floor house where the interior space opens to the light and to the green park across. On the ground floor the entrance,  the kitchen, the dinning room and the two living rooms develop peripherally on the three sides with the staircase in the back center. A central open space, on the second floor brings the light inside, and leads to a big exterior space under a wooden roof. Tall windows, beige walls and wooden roof compose the form of a classical Athenian residence. The American walnut adds warmth and the classical furnishing brings a touch of classic style suitable with the building s form.
